Camping Ground
The Wairarapa A&P Camp Ground is centrally located between Carterton and Masterton just off State Highway 2 on Chester Road at the Clareville Showground Complex. It features 65 acres of rural land with a picturesque lake, established trees, cooking, laundry and ablution facilities. It's home to a wide range of sport clubs and associations which utilise the vast grounds.

The central location of the Camp Ground make it an ideal base to get around the lower North Island. With a regular daily train service to Wellington, leaving from either the Carterton or Masterton Railway Stations make getting to the capital very accessible. A bus stop is located at the intersection of Chester Road and SH2 only walking distance from the Camp Ground. Other major city destinations including Palmerston North and Napier are 1.5 hrs and 2.5 hrs by road respectively.
